Cafe Imports<\/a> is getting the band back together and hitting the road one more time. This May, the 2018 Legendary Coffee Tour<\/a> is heading to 10 cities around the US, and they are bringing with them their \u201cgreatest hits, brand-new releases, and even a few deep cuts from the archive.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kicking off on May 4th<\/sup> in Minneapolis, the Cultivar Caravan will focus on \u201cthe history and significance of coffee varieties,\u201d which will of course be presented along with a cupping. Along with a \u201cset list of favorites,\u201d including heirloom Ethiopian types, Typica, and Bourbon, Cafe Imports is bringing a completely unknown variety<\/a> that came their way via a Banexport<\/a> cupping in Pitalito, Huila, Colombia (which co-owner\/green coffee buyer Andrew Miller described as \u201cHoly *@!&<\/em>\u201d and scored an astounding 94 points).<\/p>\n

The Cultivar Caravan will also include not coffee things to taste, \u201cas a way of exploring and understanding the ways that different varieties can contribute to diversity of flavor, as well as to simply show some love to the diversity of flavors this weird, wild world has to offer us at every turn.\u201d The event will then be followed with free food and drinks for all attendees.<\/p>\n
